HBK Contracting Awarded Katara Towers Phase 2

Katara Hospitality awarded the Phase 2 construction works of Katara Towers to HBK Contracting.

HBK Contracting will construct the 36-storey cross-swords design on the building, anticipated to become a hospitality landmark in Lusail City, Qatar.

Sheikh Nawaf bin Jassim bin Jabor Al-Thani, chairman, Katara Hospitality, elaborated, “Our vision for Katara Towers is to set new standards that go beyond the borders of the hospitality industry and will provide an architectural landmark that is instantly recognised and understood right across the globe.”

Katara Towers will house 505 rooms and 49 apartments within a five-star hotel, what is hailed as Qatar’s first six-star hotel, and branded residences.

The project is enhanced by a man-made satellite beach front island that will be home to a mix of entertainment and recreations facilities.
